Moves WWNs to Unselected Paths.

Saves settings in the Delete Paths window, closes the Delete Paths window, and displays the Path

Setting window.

Cancel
Cancels all of the settings in the Delete Paths window, and closes the window.

To delete the alternate paths of multiple external LUs:

1.

In the External Storage XP operations window, click LU Operation. The LU Operation pane appears.

2.

In the Device Tree, select an external LU group number. Information about external LUs mapped as

internal LUs appears in the Device List.

3.

Select multiple external LUs in the Device List, right-click, and select Delete Paths. The Delete Paths

window appears.

4.

Select the appropriate port from Port. External disk array ports (WWNs) that have been configuring the

path connecting with the selected port appear in Unselected Paths.

5.

Select WWNs from Unselected Paths, and click Set to move them to Selected Paths.

6.

When you are finished selecting paths, click OK to save the settings. The Path Setting window appears.

7.

Ensure that deleted paths are applied to the disk array in the Path Setting window. You can also

change the alternate path setting in this window.

8.

Click OK to save the settings. The Path Setting window closes, and the LU Operation pane appears.
Selected rows in the Device List appear in blue italics. Specified settings appear in the Preset list. To

check setting details, select the setting in the Preset list, right-click, and select Detail. To cancel settings,

select the setting in the Preset list, right-click, and select Delete.

9.

Click Apply in the LU Operation pane. A confirmation message appears asking if you want to apply

the settings to the disk array.

10.

Click OK.
Alternative paths deleted using the Delete Paths and Path Setting are applied to the disk array, and the

specified content appears in the Device List.
If errors occur during alternate path definition, failed settings appear in the Preset list and error codes

appear. To check error messages, select the failed setting, right-click, and select Detail.

Checking External Storage XP volume status (LDEV Information)

When mapping an LU on an external disk array as a local disk array LDEV, the LU on the external array

becomes available for External Storage XP operations, Flex Copy operations, and other operations by

other Command View XP or XP Remote Web Console programs that support mapped external volumes.
However, when errors occur in the paths between the local disk array and the external device, the local

disk array blocks the status of the External Storage XP volume (status is Blockade). Use the LDEV

Information window to restore the state of an External Storage XP volume with Blockade status.
