Use this checklist as a quick guide to reinitialize a host or physical target system. The right column
provides common entries and actions to perform for a NonStop system that is network connected,
uses Winsock, and has the ZDSMSCM subvolume located on $DSMSCM. For more information,

“Configuring a Host or Target System” (page 50)

volume that contains the host database. The volume must be audited by TMF.

IP Port Number? (DSM/SCM Planner Interface)

The default IP port on the PC for the Planner Interface is 1089. The Planner
Interface is needed on a PC that will use CNFGINFO (not supported on 64-bit
PCs). The location of the Winsock SERVICES and PORTCONF files, and the IP
port number to use. If you do not use the default, you must use an unused number
between 1025 and 65535.
