Task 6: Use the RESTORE and FUP Input Files

Use the input files you just created to restore the required files from the SUT, mounted on $TAPE0,
to their appropriate subvolumes and to license and set the PROGID for them as needed:

> RESTORE /IN RESTIN/
> FUP /IN FUPIN/

Task 7: Rename the Template Files

The TCP/IP configuration files have some template files with temporary file names on the SUT to
ensure the working files are not overwritten by DSM/SCM during the Apply. If you do not have a
backup of your customized versions of the working files (that is, HOSTS, NETWORKS, PORTCONF,
PROTOCOL, RESCONF and SERVICES), rename these temporary files to the real names and then
modify them for your environment. To rename these files:

> VOLUME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP
> FUP RENAME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SMPLHOST, HOSTS
> FUP RENAME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SMPLNETW, NETWORKS
> FUP RENAME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SMPLPORT, PORTCONF
> FUP RENAME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SMPLPROT, PROTOCOL
> FUP RENAME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SMPLRESC, RESCONF
> FUP RENAME $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SMPLSERV, SERVICES

If you have a backup of your customized versions of these files, restore the backup files to
$SYSTEM.ZTCPIP

.

For more information on these files, see the TCP/IPv6 Configuration and Management Manual or
the TCP/IP Configuration and Management Manual.

Task 8: Start Required Processes

Use SCF to configure and start the QIOMON, ZZLAN, and SCP processes before you can start
the 4PORT LAN card and the network:

-> ASSUME PROCESS $ZZKRN
-> ADD PROCESS #QIOMON, AUTORESTART 10, CPU ALL, DEFAULTVOL
$SYSTEM.SYSTEM, HOMETERM $ZHOME, OUTFILE $ZHOME, NAME $ZM,
PRIORITY 199, PROGRAM $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.QIOMON, STARTMODE KERNEL
-> ADD PROCESS #ZZLAN, AUTORESTART 10, PRIMARYCPU 0, BACKUPCPU
1, DEFAULTVOL $SYSTEM.SYSTEM, HOMETERM $ZHOME, OUTFILE $ZHOME,
NAME $ZZLAN, PRIORITY 180, PROGRAM $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.LANMAN,
STARTMODE KERNEL, STARTUPMSG "backup-cpu"
-> ADD PROCESS #SCP, NAME $ZNET, PRIORITY 175, AUTORESTART 10,
PROGRAM $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.SCP, PRIMARYCPU 0, BACKUPCPU 1, TYPE
OTHER, STARTMODE SYSTEM, HOMETERM $ZHOME, OUTFILE $ZHOME,
STARTUPMSG "backup-cpu; AUTOSTOP -1"
-> START #QIOMON
-> START #ZZLAN
-> START #SCP
-> EXIT

Start the E4SA

Use SCF to configure and start the E4SA and its subsystems:

-> ASSUME PROCESS $ZZLAN
-> ADD ADAPTER E4SA0, LOCATION (1,1,53), TYPE E4SA, ACCESSLIST (00,01)
-> START ADAPTER E4SA0, SUB ALL
-> ADD LIF LAN00, PIF E4SA0.0.A
-> ADD LIF LAN01, PIF E4SA0.0.B
-> ADD LIF LAN02, PIF E4SA0.1.A
-> ADD LIF LAN03, PIF E4SA0.1.B
-> START LIF LAN00
-> START LIF LAN01
-> START LIF LAN02
