Connect the product to a network
Supported network protocols
To connect a networking-equipped product to a network, you need a network that uses one or more of
the following protocols.
●
TCP/IP (IPv4 or IPv6)
NOTE:
While this product can be used over IPv6 networks, a product software installation from
the CD is not supported over IPv6 networks.
●
LPD Printing
●
SLP
●
WS-Discovery
●
HP Wireless Direct
Install the product on a wired network
Use this procedure to intall the product on a wired network using Windows.
Obtain the IP address
1.
Connect the ethernet cable to the product and to the network. Turn the product on.
2.
Wait for 60 seconds before continuing. During this time, the network recognizes the product and
assigns an IP address or host name for the product.
3.
Touch the Network button to display the IP address.
