Click Test to make sure the parameters are correct.

Click OK.

The HP OneView Adapter instance appears in the Adapter Instances list.

Licensing

HP OneView for VMware vCenter Operations Manager is licensed with HP OneView. You need
an HP OneView license for each host you will be monitoring with this integration and VMware
vCenter Operations Manager. VMware vCenter Operations Manager must also be acquired for
each of the hosts as per VMware licensing guidelines.

When you redeem your HP OneView license, you will be offered a VMware vCenter Operations
Manager Partner Activation Code (PAC) for VMware vCenter Operations Manager Advanced
edition with limited usage to HP’s VMware integration.

Register your Partner Activation Code (PAC) at the VMware Portal at

http://www.vmware.com/

code/hp

to get the required license. Once you apply, you can use HP’s VMware vCenter Operations

Manager integrations. Other features of VMware vCenter Operations Manager Advanced edition
may not be used as per the agreed EULA.

Checking the software version

Use this procedure to check the installed version of the HP OneView for VMware vCenter Operations
Manager software.
1.

Open a browser window and open vCenter Operations Manager custom GUI.

2.

Click Admin

→Support.

3.

Click the Info tab.

4.

Under Adapters Info, view the HP OneView Adapter version in the Adapter Version column.

5.

Click on the Describe icon to the right of the Adapter Info header to begin the Describe process.

NOTE:

This must be done each time an adapter is deployed.
