The Inventory view contains a list of resources and select attributes. It is located in the view
pane of the Management window. You can display an Inventory view of a ServerNet Cluster or
a local system.

You can select a resource in the Inventory view and display its attributes or

alarms

(if any) or

perform actions on it. If an alarm is outstanding for the selected resource, a bell icon appears on
the Alarms tab in the details pane when you select the resource. For more information, see

To find a resource in this view, use the browser's Find function. For more information, see

Using the Browser's Find Feature

To display the Inventory view:

From the tree or overview pane, click ServerNet Cluster or System.

From the View list, select Inventory.

Inventory View of a ServerNet Cluster

The Inventory view of a ServerNet Cluster displays a complete or partial list of resources in the
cluster, depending on the resource you select in the tree pane.

The Inventory view of a ServerNet cluster displays:

Name

The logical name of a component in the cluster and the switch zone and
fabric in which it is located. For example: Switch Group 1020 (the switch
group in zone 2 on the X fabric)

Serial Number

A unique identification number assigned to a external switch port.

Type

The type of switch plug-in card (such as Router Interconnect) or
transceiver (such as 9/125 Micron SMF).

Power State

Indication of whether the component is powered on or off.

Hardware Revision The hardware design revision, similar to a version number.

Track ID

The unique number assigned to every component. If you know a
component's part number and tracking ID, you can find its exact location
in the system.

Part Number

The part number assigned to the component. Use this part number to
order a replacement component.

The Inventory view of a local system displays a complete or partial list of resources in it,
depending on the system resource you select in the tree pane.
