Storage Mirroring Reporting Center services

If Storage Mirroring Reporting Center has been successfully installed, then you should
see the following services running in the Windows Service Control Manager. All of these
services should be running at all times.

DTRC Analysis Engine—This process analyzes data that has been gathered by
Storage Mirroring Reporting Center and generates alerts when certain conditions
occur.

DTRC Collector—This process is used to gather data from Storage Mirroring
servers. All data is forwarded to the DTRC Listener.

DTRC Controller—This is the main configuration and controlling process of
Storage Mirroring Reporting Center. If this process is not running, then all other
processes will not be able to carry out their regular operations.

DTRC Publisher—The Publisher process sends emails through the mail server
specified in the System Settings.

DTRC Listener—This process receives data from the DTRC Collector and logs it
to the database.

DTRC Reporter—This process is used to generate reports when run in the
Storage Mirroring Reporting Center GUI.

To start up and shut down the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center processes in a
Windows environment, use the Windows Service Manager to stop and start each of the
services.
