Storage Mirroring Reporting Center server
The Storage Mirroring Reporting Center server performs monitoring of all Storage
Mirroring servers in the environment, and stores configuration, status, and performance
data in a relational database. The Storage Mirroring server monitors all of the data that is
gathered for a variety of conditions and generates alerts when these occur. The server
can be installed on a server that has Storage Mirroring installed on it, or on a separate
machine.
You can either install the SQL Express 2005 database engine that is packaged with
Storage Mirroring, or connect the Storage Mirroring server to an existing Microsoft SQL
2000 or SQL 2005 server.
