Event log data script (EVNTLOG)

The event log keeps track of events such as data purge or collection configuration. With this script,

you can use the CLUI to access event log data.

EVNTLOG usage

Following is the general format of the command to invoke the script:
evntlog [-auth <user:passwd>] [-ms <URL>] [-L] [-d<char>] [-hr] [-?]

[-type <type ID>] [-sev <severity>] [-st <mm.dd.yyyy hh:mm:ss>] [-et

<mm.dd.yyyy hh:mm:ss>]
where:

–type

The type of the event.

–sev

The severity of the alarm, range 1 - 10.

–st

The time and date of the first alarm to display.

–et

The time and date of the last alarm to display.

–ms

The URL of the management station.

–auth

The username and password.

–pf

Can be used in place of -auth.

NOTE:

The password file must be created using the encrypt command only.

–d

The delimiter for delimited display.

–hr

Displays human-readable output.

–?

Prints the usage statement.

EVNTLOG sample output

The following are output data samples for the CLUI shell script described in the previous section:

evntlog -hr

Time: 16:20:37

Date: 02.14.2002

Type: 10

Severity: 5

Description:

Purged all performance data for array 30143.
