RCU Operation pane
The RCU Operation pane displays RCU information and provides access to the XP Continuous
Access RCU setting operations (see
RCU operations ).
The RCU Operation pane is updated when the tab is switched from one to another, Refresh is
clicked, and settings for the RCU are applied. For the RCU settings operation, see
RCU operations .

The RCU Operation pane contains the following items:

Switch Display options:
MCU&RCU: Displays the CU Number tree and MCU/RCU list (see “CU Number tree and
MCU/RCU list” (page 58) ). The MCU/RCU list is displayed by default.

◦ Port: Displays the Package tree and Port list (see “Port tree and Port list” (page 60) ).

Operation: Displays current operation performed by the RCU Operation pane.
CU Number tree and MCU/RCU list
When the MCU&RCU option is selected in the Switch Display box, the RCU Operations pane
displays the CU images (CU Free and CU#) in the tree, the MCU/RCU information in the list, and
the Preset list. If you use CU Free, you can create a pair with another disk array without specifying
a CU. When an MCU-RCU path fails, XP Continuous Access displays an error icon ( ) for the
affected CU image.
Select the subsystem to display all MCU/RCU information in the Port list on the right.
