Settings about Compatible Hyper PAV
• Execute VARY OFF of the host path of Cross-OS File Exchange volume.
• Execute VARY ON of the host path of Cross-OS File Exchange volume.
Uninstalling Compatible Hyper PAV
To uninstall Compatible Hyper PAV:
1.
On the host computer, disable Hyper PAV.
2.
Uninstall the XP Remote Web Console.
For information on uninstall of Storage Navigator software, please refer to Storage Navigator™ User's
Guide.
3.
Execute the DEVSERV (DS) command as shown below from the host to a device per CU:
DS QD,xxx,VALIDATE (XXX = device number)
To uninstall Compatible Hyper PAV if the host uses Hyper PAV on other disk subsystems and cross os file
exchange
1.
Execute VARY OFF, and then execute CHP OFF of the host path.
2.
Uninstall the XP Remote Web Console.
3.
Execute CHP ON, and then execute VARY ON of the host path.
