recording file, the system will prompt the user with a "Not Enough Space"
message.
2. After the recording file has been backed up, remove the backup device.

3.5 Hard Disk Management
Enter the Hard disk Management screen from Main Menu
→HDD, as shown below:
STATUS: The DVR will automatically check for the proper operation of an installed hard
disk drive. If the hard disk needs formatting, "UNFORMATTED" will be displayed in the
hard disk status display and you can click "HDD Format " to format the hard disk. If the
system detects an available hard disk, the hard disk status will be "ONLINE".
ALL/FREE: Displays the total storage capacity and current remaining storage capacity
of the hard disk.
TIME LEFT: Displays the amount of recording time available on the hard disk, based
on the currently selected video "resolution" and "quality".
FORMAT: Click the check box and a "
√" will appear, indicating that this HDD has been
selected for a subsequent format operation.
OVERWRITE: When set to ENABLE, the DVR will automatically overwrite the earliest
recording when it needs more space for new recordings. When set to DISABLE, the
DVR will stop making any new recordings once the hard disk is full.
HDD FORMAT: Before it can be used to store recordings, the hard disk must be
formatted. After checking the FORMAT box (see above), click the "HDD FORMAT"
option to begin the formatting process. A confirmation dialog will be displayed. Click
"ENTER" to begin formatting or "CANCEL" to abort the operation. Once the new hard
disk has been formatted, the DVR will automatically reboot.
USB FORMAT: Formats a hard disk or flash drive attached to the system's USB 2.0
port.
DEFAULT: Restores the factory default values.
