6. Connecting by HDMI, AV, S Video, Y

Pb Pr cables

1.Turn off the Hector 9HD and camera.
2.Insert the cable into the appropriate port lo-
cated on top of the Hector 9HD.
3.Attach the cable to the camera.
4.Turn on the camera and Hector 9HD.
5.Select the correct video source.
6.Engage Live View Mode on the camera.

7. Connecting a Phottix Accessory Cable

Phottix Accessory Cables will connect a camera
to the Hector 9HD and give AF and shutter re-
lease functions.
1.Turn off the Hector 9HD and camera.
2.Insert the cable into the Accessory Cable Port
on the top of the Hector 9HD.
3.Attach the cable to the camera remote port.
4.Turn on the camera and Hector 9HD.

5.Engage Live View Mode on the Camera.

8. Taking a photo with the Hector 9HD

The Hector 9HD Shutter Button is a two stage
button, like a camera’s shutter button.
1.A half-press will focus.*
2.A full-press will take a photo.
* AF functions are not available on cameras that
don’t have live view shutter button AF controls.

9. Using the Bulb button (for long

exposure or continuous mode)

1.Set the camera to B (bulb) or C (continuous) mode.
2.Press B (bulb) button on the Phottix Hector
9HD. This will start a bulb exposure and lock the
shutter open, or in C (continuous) mode, con-
tinue to take photographs. 3.The Hector 9HD
will beep while Bulb mode is engaged.
4.Press the B (bulb) button again to end the
exposure or Continuous mode.
