8 Flight Memory and Flight Analysis

In contrast to previous flight instruments the recording
mode does not need to be specially activated as each
flight is automatically saved.

F

The flight logging system used in the Flytec 5020 registers
not only the flight altitude and the flight speed TAS
(= true air speed), but also logs, with the GPS receiver
switched on, the time, position of the pilot in the WGS84
co-ordinate system and the GPS altitude.

Basic Settings

================↓

The value set in the Basic Settings/ record interval
determines the time interval in seconds after a new data
record is written in the Flytec 5020’s memory.
A scan rate of 1 second is advisable for tests or
aerobatic flights. The factory setting is 10 seconds.

It is recommended to use a record interval between 5 and 10 s. Circles are still visible
without producing too much data.. The factory setting is 10s.
For the beginning of a flight the following rule applies:
The start is recognized as soon as the ground or the airspeed reaches at least 10 km/h for
more than 60 seconds or if the altitude difference is more than 30m within 60 seconds.

In

each case however, the previous flight history with up to 30 recording points is logged in the
Flytec 5020’s memory.
