Using face detection
Option Description
Blink
Detection
If your camera detects closed eyes, it will
take two photos in succession.
Hold your camera still while
'Capturing!' is displayed on the
screen.
When 'Picture taken with eyes
closed' message appears, take
another photo.

The options may differ depending on the shooting mode.

Press [MENU/OK].
Press [Shutter] to return to Shooting mode.
Face detection may not be effective when:
the subject is far from the camera (The focus frame will appear
orange for Smile Shot and Blink Detection)
it is too bright or too dark
the subject is not facing the camera
the subject is wearing sunglasses or a mask
Face detection is not available when using a photo style, color,
staturation, or the digital zoom.
When Smile Shot or Blink Detection is set, the timer is not
available.
When you use the face detection option, the focus area will be set
to Center AF.
