System Update Settings
Use System Update to update your phone to the latest
PRL, Profile, Samsung Software, and Firmware. You
can access this menu on a regular basis to ensure that
your phone maintains the most recent system
enhancements and security features.
Update PRL
This option allows you to download and automatically
update the preferred roaming list (PRL).
1. Press and tap > Settings > System
Update > Update PRL .
2. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Update Profile
This option automatically updates your online user
profile information. If you choose to change your user
name and select a new one online, you must update
the user name on your phone.
1. Press and tap > Settings > System
Update > Update profile .
2. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Update Samsung Software
Use this feature to upgrade your phone to the latest
version of software for your phone.
1. Press and tap > Settings > System Update
> Update Samsung Software .
2. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Update Firmware
Once all the data is backed up on the phone, use the
Update Firmware option to update the phone firmware.
ᮣ Press and tap > Settings > System
Update > Update Firmware .
The phone automatically downloads and installs
any available updates. You may be required to
power the phone off and back on to complete the
software upgrade.
Note: If your data services or account syncing unexpectedly
stops working, use this feature to reconnect with the
network.
