This function allows the user to select the ¿ le naming format.
[Reset] : After using the reset function, the
next ¿ le name will be set from
0001 even after formatting, delet-
ing all or inserting a new memory
card.
[Series]* : New ¿ les are named using num-
bers that follow the previous sequence, even when a new
memory card is used, or after formatting, or after deleting
all pictures.
- The ¿ rst stored folder name is 100PHOTO, and the ¿ rst ¿ le name
is SAM_0001.
- File names are assigned sequentially from SAM_0001 Ã
SAM_0002 Г ~ Г SAM_9999.
- The folder number is assigned sequentially from 100 to 999 as
follows: 100PHOTO Ã 101PHOTO Г ~ Г 999PHOTO.
- Maximum numbers of ¿ les in a folder are 9999.
- The ¿ les used with the memory card conform to the DCF (Design
rule for Camera File systems) format. If you change the image ¿ le
name, the image may not play back.

captured images and set up the date type. Setting [Time Zone]
enables you to display the local date and time on the LCD monitor
when travelling overseas.
