3. Highlight one of the following options then press Assign:
• Create message
• Inbox
• Audio postcard
• E-mail
• IM
Language
ᮣ In Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔ Language and press the Select soft key or the key.
This menu allows you to select a display language for Text language and Input mode. Choose from Automatic,
English, Français, and Español.
Greeting message
ᮣ In Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔ Greeting Message and press the Select soft key or the
key.
This menu allows you to set a greeting to be displayed briefly when the phone is switched on.
For details about entering characters, see “Entering Text” on page 35.
Time and Date
This menu allows you to change the current time and date displayed.
ᮣ In Idle mode, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Personalize ➔ Time and Date and press the Select soft key or
the key.
The following options are available:
• Time zone updating: allows you to receive time information from T-Mobile’s network.
– Automatic: the phone automatically updates the time and date according to the current time zone using the network service.
– Manual only : you need to manually set the time and date according to the current time zone using the Set time menu.
– Prompt first: the phone asks for a confirmation before the update.
• Time zone: displays a selectable list of 30 different time zones. Displays only if Manual only or Prompt first is selected.
• Daylight saving time: allows you to activate or deactivate Daylight Saving Time.
• Time: allows you to change the hour and minute.
