Configuring a Module
This section contains instructions on how to configure a module. It
should be noted that each type of module (e.g., GBIC port, multiplexer
port, and power supply) has its own parameters. The means that the
Module Configuration menu, where you configure a module, is different
for each type of module. For example, the selections Module status and
Vendor information are displayed only for a GBIC module. They are not
displayed for a multiplexing port.
This section describes the parameter settings for each module
individually.
GBIC Module
Parameter
Settings
To configure the settings for the GBIC modules, perform the following
procedure:
1. From the Module Status Menu, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to
select the GBIC module (1 to 8) whose settings you wish to configure.
2. Press the Enter key.
The Module Configuration menu for the selected GBIC module is
displayed in Figure 21.
