MULTI-SOUND

You can select to play back audio recorded
using other devices whether with dual
sound or with stereo sound.
STEREO

Plays back with main and sub sound (or
stereo sound).

Plays back with main sound or the left
channel sound.

Plays back with sub sound or the right
channel sound.

The setting returns to [STEREO] when you

have the power source disconnected from your
camcorder for more than 5 minutes.

MICREF LEVEL

You can select the microphone level for
recording sound.
Select [LOW] when you want to record
exciting and powerful sound in a concert
hall, etc.
NORMAL

Records various surround sounds,
converting them into the same level.

LOW

Records surround sound faithfully.
This setting is not suitable for recording
conversations.

The setting returns to [NORMAL] when you

have the power source disconnected from your
camcorder for more than 5 minutes.

LCD SET

The recorded picture will not be affected
even when you change the setting.

LCD BRIGHT

You can adjust the brightness of the LCD
screen.

LCD BL LEVEL

You can adjust the brightness of the LCD
screen’s backlight.
NORMAL

Standard brightness.

BRIGHT

Brightens the LCD screen.

When you use an AC Adaptor as the power

source, [BRIGHT] is automatically selected for
the setting.

When you select [BRIGHT], battery life is

slightly reduced during recording.

LCD COLOR

You can adjust the color on the LCD screen

High intensity

WIDE DISPLAY

You can select how a 16:9 aspect ratio
picture appears in the LCD screen.
LETTER BOX

Normal setting (standard type of display)

SQUEZE (Squeeze)

Expands the picture vertically when black
bands appear at the top and bottom of the
screen in 16:9 aspect ratio.

• When you set the POWER switch to

(Still),

[WIDE DISPLAY] does not appear.

USB SPEED

You can select data transfer speed used to
transfer data to your computer.
AUTO

Sends data by switching automatically
between the Hi-Speed USB (USB2.0) and
the speed corresponding to USB1.1 (full
speed transfer).

FULL SPEED

Sends data corresponding to USB1.1 (full
speed transfer).
