Adjusting the speaker volume

While you stop playback, select “SPEAKER SETUP”
after pressing SET UP.

Select “TEST TONE” and set “TEST TONE” to “ON.”
You will hear the test tone from each speaker in
sequence.

From your listening position, select “BALANCE” or
“LEVEL” and adjust the value of “BALANCE” and
“LEVEL” using
>/..
During this adjustment, the test tone is emitted from
both speakers simultaneously.

Select “TEST TONE” and set “TEST TONE” to “OFF”
to turn off the test tone.

Controlling the TV or the
AV Receiver (Amplifier)

If you adjust the remote signal, you can control your TV
with the supplied remote. Default setting is to control
Sony TVs with the g mark.
When you connect the player to a Sony AV receiver
(amplifier), you can also set the input of the receiver
(amplifier) to this player with the supplied remote.

Slide the TV/DISC EXPLORER/DVD switch to TV.

Hold down

1/u (POWER), and enter your TV’s

manufacturer’s code (see the table on the next
page) using the number buttons. Then release

1/u

(POWER).

Code numbers of controllable TVs
If more than one code number is listed, try entering them
one at a time until you find the one that works with your
TV.

Notes

• If you enter a new code number, the code number previously

entered will be erased.

• When you replace the batteries of the remote commander, the

code number may reset to 01 (Sony). Reset the appropriate code
number.
