Buttons do not work.
The buttons are locked. Slide the HOLD switch
Moisture condensation has occurred (Moisture
may condense inside the player if the player is
brought directly from a cold place to a warm
place). Leave the player aside for a few hours
until the moisture evaporates.

The display automatically turns off if there is no
operation for about 30 seconds in stop mode
when using the battery. When scrolling track
titles, etc., the display turns off about 30 seconds
after scrolling is finished. Also, the display turns
off when pressing and holding
. For all the
cases, press any button to turn on the display
again.
