Optional accessories
After attaching the flash (DMW-FL360L, DMW-FL580L,
DMW-FL500: optional), the effective range will be increased when
compared to the camera’s built in flash.
Preparations:

Turn off the camera and close the built-in flash.

Using the dedicated flash (DMW-FL360L: optional)

Attach the dedicated flash to the hot shoe and then turn on the camera and the
dedicated flash.

Press 3/4 to select [Flash Mode] and then press [MENU/SET].
External Flash (optional)
Removing the Hot Shoe Cover
The camera comes with a hot shoe cover attached to the hot shoe.
Remove the hot shoe cover by pulling it in the
direction indicated by arrow 2 while pressing it in
the direction indicated by arrow 1.

When the hot shoe is not in use, make sure to attach the hot shoe
cover.
•
Please be careful not to lose the hot shoe cover.
•
Keep the Hot Shoe Cover out of reach of children to prevent
swallowing.
