You will start to notice a reduction in the motor speed if
your battery begins to lose its charge. If you notice
such a reduction, replace the battery with a fresh 12
Volt battery or, in the event that a rechargeable battery
is in use, remove the existing battery and re-charge it
accordingly.
By disconnecting the battery for maintenance, you will
have caused the digital timer to lose its current time.
Once you re-connect the battery, you will need to
re-program the current time. All the feed times and
durations will have been saved into virtual memory,
thus not requiring you to re-program.

In the event the paddle assembly of the unit jams while
in operation, the timer recognizes the error and stops
the timer function immediately to protect the circuit
board from possible overload. Simultaneous to
stopping the unit, the timer will flash a “JAM” error
message on the LCD to notify the user of the problem.
If for some reason the jam clears before the next
scheduled feed time, the unit will activate as previously
programmed. However, the unit will not activate if the
jam has not cleared. If you open the lid and notice the
flashing “JAM” message on the screen, proceed to
clear the source of the jam and press the “TEST”
button to insure the jam has cleared.
