Installation Task List
To successfully install your Wireless PCI Adapter, complete each of
these tasks, in order:
❏ If you are unfamiliar with wireless technology or LANs, read
About Wireless Technology and LANs on page 43 for a basic
overview.
❏ Install the Wireless PCI Adapter. See page 5 .
❏ Install the device driver for your computer’s operating system.

❏ Install the Adaptec Wireless Utility. See page 18 .
❏ Disable Zero Configuration (Windows XP users only). See
page 22 .
❏ Install the network protocols. See page 24 .
❏ Connect to the WLAN. See page 28 .
Basic installation takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
