PD-Tip piston
cannot be locked
after the PD-Tip
has been inserted.

Locking/filling lever
is not pushed down
completely and is not
swung out.

First press the ejection
key and remove the
PD-Tip, then push the
locking/filling lever all
the way down and swing
it out completely.

Undefined dispens-

ing volume

The stroke setting
wheel is not properly
engaged.

Ensure that the stroke
setting wheel is securely
locked into place.

Air bubble beneath
the PD-Tip piston
becomes larger.

Leaking PD-Tip

Replace PD-Tip

A and/or CV exceed
tolerances.

Leaking PD-Tip

Replace PD-Tip

The dispenser tips are
difficult to move.

Replace the PD-Tip or
use other more pliant
dispenser tips.

The dispensing lever
has not been pressed
completely and evenly.

Press the dispensing
lever evenly to stop
position.

The first dispensing
step was not discarded.

Discard the first dis-
pensing step.

The PD-Tip piston
cannot be decou-
pled after emptying
completely.

The PD-Tip has been
inserted improperly.

Press the ejection key,
push down the locking/
filling lever completely,
and swing it out.
