The T600HT is a truly innovative design inside and out. The shape is both beautiful and functional. The fact that the cabinets are
sculptured with a triangular front works greatly in its favor sonically as well as aesthetically. The triangular shape greatly reduces
what we call rear wave radiation. This is the sound that bounces off the rear wall of the cabinet and comes back through the
speaker cone. Because it is slightly delayed, it causes a noticeable blurring of the original sound. We have found that the triangu-
lar shape of the front face greatly reduces this effect making music and speech much more clear and distinct.
The cabinet houses a ribbon tweeter and use the M series inverted dome midrange-woofers. Using a ribbon tweeter has some
real sonic advantages over the more conventional dome type tweeters.
For example the next time you evaluate different home entertainment speaker packages, first sit directly in front of the speaker
and then move off to the side. Notice how the sound looses some of its sparkle. Those not fortunate enough to sit directly in front
of the speaker will find it more difficult to understand what is being said in the dialogue of a film. This does not occur with the
T600HT because the ribbon tweeter radiates equally across the listening area.
The woofer cones are made of metal and are manufactured from a special aluminum magnesium composition that is both strong
light and non flexing. Human voices are natural and distinct.
The front cabinets are finished in a beautiful piano black lacquer with a contemporary aluminum faceplate on the sloping front sur-
face.
The compact subwoofer is easy to place anywhere and is self powered.
