6. PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION AND SERVICE

Before each use, a pre-operation inspection and service of the implement and power unit must be performed.
This includes routine maintenance and scheduled lubrication, inspecting that all safety devices are equipped
and functional, and performing needed repairs. Do not operate the implement and power unit it the pre-
operation inspection reveals any condition affecting safe operation. Perform repairs and replacement of
damaged and missing parts as soon as noticed. By performing a thorough pre-operation inspection and
service, valuable down time and repair cost can be avoided. OPS-UPI-0008

Always disconnect the auxiliary hydraulic couplers from the Power Unit before performing
service on the Implement. Never work on the Implement with the Power Unit auxiliary

hydraulics connected. Rotating parts such as blades could turn without warning and cause
immediate entanglement, injury or death.

(SPU-31)

Periodically inspect all moving parts for wear and replace when
necessary with authorized service parts. Look for loose fasteners, worn
or broken parts, and leaky or loose fittings. Make sure all pins have
cotter pins and washers. Serious injury may occur from not maintaining
this machine in good working order.
