Connecting using the mobile
device's Wi-Fi Direct function
If your mobile device has a Wi-Fi Direct function, it can be
connected.
1 Display the Wi-Fi Direct mode screen.
2 Turn on the mobile device's Wi-Fi Direct setting.
Note
• For instructions on operating your mobile devices,
see their respective operating instructions.
• When connected using the Wi-Fi Direct function of a
mobile device, the DLNA application being used must
also support Wi-Fi Direct connection.
• Normally use with the procedure described under
Connecting with the mobile device on page 31.
3 Use / to select Search, then press ENTER.
A list of mobile devices that this unit can connect to is
displayed on the TV screen.
4 Use / to select the mobile device to be
connected, then press ENTER.
• Depending a your mobile device, a connection
authorization screen may appear. Select [OK] or
[Allow] to allow connection.
• Once the connection is completed, [Connection
Success] appears on the TV screen.
5 Press ENTER.
This completes the connection.
The Wi-Fi Direct mode screen is displayed.
Change SSID and password
Change the SSID and password used to connect the unit
and a mobile device.
1 Press  STANDBY/ON and the power to the unit
will come on.
The Pioneer logo will be displayed on the TV screen.
2 Press  to display the Wi-Fi Direct mode screen.
3 Use / to select Refresh, then press ENTER.
SSID and password will be changed.
The connection between the unit and mobile device will
be terminated.
Caution
• All connection settings that have been setup for
mobile devices will be removed.
• The SSID and password will not change until an
update (Refresh) is performed. You should
periodically perform an update (Refresh) for security
reasons.
After the connection is terminated, when using the unit’s
Wi-Fi Direct function again you will also need to set up the
connection again.
Playing a mobile
device's photos, music
or video files
Send the photos, music or video files from your mobile
device to this unit.
Note
• For instructions on operating your mobile devices,
see their respective operating instructions.
• Depending on the mobile device, you may have to
install software for transferring the photos, music or
video files.
 Canceling the Wi-Fi Direct
connection
1 While the Wi-Fi Direct mode screen is displayed,
press RETURN.
• The connection is canceled.
• The network settings set before using Wi-Fi Direct are
restored.
Note
• To play discs, USB devices or web contents when
connected by Wi-Fi Direct, close the Wi-Fi Direct
mode screen.
