Turns on

CT function.

Tuning into alternative frequencies

You can select to enable or disable the AF (Al-
ternative frequency) function.
If you are listening to a broadcast and the re-
ception becomes weak or there are other pro-
blems, this product will automatically search
for a different station in the same network that
is broadcasting a stronger signal.

Each tap of [

AF] changes the setting as fol-

lows:

! ON (default):

Turns on

AF function.

! OFF:

Turns off

AF function.

Limiting stations to regional
programming

When AF is used to automatically retune fre-
quencies, the regional (

REG) function limits

the selection to stations broadcasting regional
programmes.

Turns on

REG function.

! OFF:

REG function.

Receiving traffic announcements

TA (traffic announcement standby) lets you re-
ceive traffic announcements automatically, no
matter what source you are listening to. TA
can be activated for both a TP station (a sta-
tion that broadcasts traffic information) or an-
other enhanced network

’s TP station (a station

carrying information that cross-references TP
stations).

lows:

! ON (default):

Turns on

TA function.

! OFF:

Turns off

TA function.

Setting the volume for traffic
announcements

% Use the Volume (+/–) button to adjust
the TA volume when a traffic announce-
ment begins.
The newly set volume is stored in memory and
recalled for subsequent traffic announce-
ments.

Searching for an RDS station by PTY
information

You can search for general types of broadcast-
ing programmes.
= For details, refer to PTY list on the next

page.

Tap [PTY List].

Scroll through the list and tap the pro-

gramme type you want to search.
The tuner searches for a station broadcasting
that programme type.

p The programmes of some stations may dif-

fer from that indicated by the transmitted
PTY.

p If no station is broadcasting the type of pro-

gramme you searched for, the tuner returns
to the original station.
