The following figure shows the computer’s left side.

Parallel port This Centronics-compatible, 25-pin parallel port is
used to connect a parallel printer or other parallel
device. This port supports Extended Capabilities
Port (ECP) standard. (Provided with some
models)
External monitor
port
This 15-pin port lets you connect an external
monitor.
Fan vent
Provides air flow for the fan.
Fan vent Express card slot
External monitor port Parallel port USB Port
PC card slot
Be careful not to block the fan vent. Also be careful to keep foreign objects
out of the vents. A pin or similar object can damage the computer’s
circuitry.
Universal Serial
Bus port
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) port comply with
USB 2.0 standards,which enables data transfer
speeds 40 times faster than the USB 1.1
standards. (The port also support USB 1.1.)
Keep foreign objects out of the USB connectors. A pin or similar object can
damage the computer’s circuitry.
Operation of all functions of all USB devices has not been confirmed. some
functions might not execute properly.
