Network properties
In the [Network] dialog box, verify that “Point To Point Tunneling Protocol” has been added, and then
click [Close].
Starting Dial-Up Networking
Open [My Computer] and then double-click [Dial-Up Networking] to start [Dial-Up Networking].
New Phonebook Entry Wizard window
In the [New Phonebook Entry Wizard] window, enter the name of a new telephone directory entry
name, and then click [Next].
In this example, [vpn] is entered for the entry name.
Server window
In the [Server] window, select the [I am calling the Internet] check box and then click [Next].
Phone Number window
Even though the input box is labeled [Phone number], specify the name or IP address of the host
instead of a phone number, and then click [Next].
In this example, an IP address is specified because DNS is not used.
In the [New Phonebook Entry Wizard] window, click [Finish].
