(2) Management Proxy
The Management Proxy collects fault reports from the Agent and stores them, and also relays settings
from the Management Console to the Agent. Collected fault information can be sent by e-mail or
displayed (as Alert Messages) on the Management Console machine. At least one Management
Proxy machine is required in a system.
Two Management Proxy machines can be provided in a system so that one works as the primary server
and the other as the backup server for management of Agent information.
A computer that satisfies the requirements shown in the operating environment section can be used a
Management Proxy. The HEW Management Proxy must be installed for use as a Management Proxy.
