9. When working with hydraulic products, always wear appropriate protective clothing

(hard hat with visor, protective gloves, safety shoes, etc.)

10. Refrain from working in any manner that impairs or jeopardizes the occupational safety

of the product.

11. Check the product before and after use for visible defects, damage and / or leaks.

12. In the event of a malfunction, immediately deactivate the product and secure it. You

should have the malfunction repaired immediately.

13. Please make sure that while working you don’t get stuck in the looped hoses and trip.

14. Prevent the generation of electrostatic discharge with possible spark formation when the

product is being handled.

15. The product is filled with hydraulic fluid. It can be detrimental to health if swallowed or its

vapours are inhaled. Also, you should prevent the hydraulic fluid from coming into direct

contact with the skin. When handling the hydraulic fluid, remember that it can negatively

affect biological systems.

16. Make sure you have adequate lighting when working with the product.

Danger in the event of hose line failure

Storage

6.

Hose lines need to be laid or secured in such a way that danger is prevented as much as

possible (e.g. by shields or protective covers) should the hose line fail (e.g. hose rupture)!

Possible hazards:

- Wrapping of the hose lines after they break off.

- Escape of hydraulic fluid under pressure (especially in the case of hairline cracks where

it is barely noticeable).

- Combustion of escaping hydraulic fluid in the vicinity of ignition sources.

What to do when hydraulic fluid is escaping under pressure:

- Never search for leaks with any part of your body!

- Depressurize the damaged hose as quickly as possible!

- Hydraulic fluid under high pressure, if it contacts the skin, may cause serious injuries.

Therefore, in the event of injuries, immediately consult a doctor! The doctor will need

to remove the hydraulic fluid from the wounds immediately and give the wounds proper

medical treatment!

Even if properly stored and stressed within permissible limits, hose lines are subject to natural

aging. This limits their storage and service life.

The storage location should satisfy the following criteria:

1. Cool, dry, and relatively free from dust.

2. No direct sunlight or UV radiation.

3. No active heat sources in the immediate vicinity of the storage location.

4. No ozone-forming equipment or lighting elements (e.g. mercury vapour lamps) in the

immediate vicinity of the storage location.

5. Enough storage space that the bending radius of the hoses cannot fall below the

prescribed limits.

6. Not in the vicinity of electrical equipment with high-voltage current.

7. Not in the immediate vicinity of corrosive chemicals or radioactive material.

8. The storage location should be protected from insects and / or rodents.

9. Do not lay loads onto the hoses.
