3.0 General preparatory measures

Connect the suction hose

A Press the connector (37) of the suction hose into the suction inlet (2) until

it locks into position.

To remove the hose, press and hold the release button (36) and pull out
the suction hose connector (37).

Please mount the suction hose as shown in the sketch in order to avoid
damage to the surface of the appliance.

Connect the system plug

Press the system plug (34) into the system socket (11) until a click is to be
heard. To disconnect the plug, press and hold the release button (33) and
pull out the system plug (34).

Fitting the suction tube

Slide the suction tube (52) onto the handle (32) and connect the coupler
plug (45) to the socket coupler (31). To disconnect the coupler plug, press
and hold the release button (46) and pull out the plug.

can be adjusted to the desired length by means

of the slide (51).

Suction tube holder / Standby position

The suction tube (52) can be deposited together with the nozzle and
hose in the suction tube holder (8) on the rear of the housing, and will be
released in the event of excess strain.

Automatic lead roller

M The connecting lead (78) is rolled up automatically after pressing

button (4).

Remote control

O To start all functions (Steaming, spraying and vacuuming) through the

remote control please press operating buttons and hold down gently for
at least one second.

4.0 Dust vacuuming (dry vacuuming)

4.1 Information and safety instructions for use

Do not use the appliance for dry vacuuming if the AQUA

filter system has not been fitted in accordance with the
instructions for use. This can cause damage to the app-
liance.

Do not vacuum up any liquids in dry vacuuming operation.

Read the instructions under chapter 5.3 “starting wet vacu-
uming“.

Note in addition the “safety instructions“ given in Chapter

1 .1 .

Do not vacuum up in large quantities of fine dust, for

example cocoa powder, flour, etc.

4.2 Set-up for dry vacuuming

If the appliance has been used previously for wet, wash or
steam vacuuming observe all the directions in this chapter.
Your appliance comes fitted ready for dry vacuuming from the factory – please
read the points as from

onwards in this case.

J Open housing cover (1) by lifting up the cover unlocking device (5).

Remove complete soiled-water tank, (27) by means of the carrying hand-
le and possibily remove fitted anti-spill insert (22).

Fit the HEPA-filter (19) in the appliance.

Set the complete AQUA-filter (42) behind the two guide fins of the soiled-
water tank (27) and push up against the stop. Make sure that the seal
around the AQUA-filter (42) is up against the inside of the soiled water
tank (27) and the wet filter (26) has been fitted.

Fill up the soiled-water tank (27) with 1 liter clear water.

Put the filled soiled-water tank (27) in the appliance and push the car-
rying handle over to the side.

Make sure that the carrying handle is not covering the housing seal.

Slowly close the housing cover (1) so that the seals and connections on
the AQUA-filter (42) are not damaged.

H Connect up the acessory required to the vacuum tube (52) or directly to

the handle (32).

So that the steam connection (50) and the spray nozzle (49) are not in
the way when dry vacuuming clip these in the holders (48) on the suction
tube (52) as shown.

M Connect mains plug.

N Switch on the appliance by means of the appliance on/off switch (16).

The yellow control lamp (12) signals readiness for operation.

O Start up the appliance by means of the button for vacuuming (29) on the

handle (32).

By pressing the button (29) again you can switch on and off the appliance
as required.

N Set the motor speed or suction capacity, respectively, to half capacity at

least by means of the appliance on/off switch (16).

To achieve optimum filtering we recommend that the AQUA-filter be
quickly rinsed out with clear water after approximately 40 – 60 minutes
continuous use or when very many drops of water can be seen on the
underside of the lid and also change the water in the soiled-water tank.

4.3 After dry vacuuming

For hygienic reasons the AQUA-filter system is to be emptied
and cleaned each time after is it used. Contamined water and
moist parts promote propagation of bacteria and fungus.
Switch off appliance by means of the main switch (16) and disconnect mains
plug.

Open housing lid (1) by lifting the lid lock (5).

Use the carrying handle and lift the soiled-water tank (27) out of the
appliance.

Use the handle and draw the AQUA-filter (42) out of the soiled-water
tank (27) and pour away the contaminated water (for example down the
toilet).

G Remove foam filter (43). To this end draw up the frame (24) on the

AQUA-filter (42) and turn back to the side.

Clean the wet filter (26) as and when required depending upon degree
of contamination.

Thoroughly rinse out the AQUA-filter (42), foam filter (43), wet
filter (26) and the soiled-water tank (27) with clear water. Do
not use any cleansing agent.
It is absolutely essential to dry these parts before putting them
back into the appliance.

Should dirt and fluff have been collected in the intake filter (44, Figure G)
this filter can be removed for easier cleaning; afterwards refit the intake
filter.

Remove contamination and fluff from the AQUA-injection nozzle

(2, Figure A).
