Installation Method

1) Connect the “Display Unit Harness” with the “Main Harness”

2) Method of power supply to the “Display Unit”

a) Do not connect anything to the “IGN Signal” at the “Main Harness” if the vehicle is equipped with CAN.

b) Connect the “IGN Signal” at the “Main Harness” if the vehicle maker is Nissan.

c) Connect the “IGN Signal” with the supplied cigarette plug, then connect the cigarette plug to the cigarette

socket if the vehicle is different from the above

Advice:

The R-VIT i-Color, with vehicle equipped with CAN system, tend to turn OFF and ON 1-2

times itself even while the ignition on the vehicle is OFF. The reason is that the R-VIT

i-Color is continuously transmitting data and because most vehicles with CAN system are

equipped with smart keys that are engineered to function even with the IGN Off which

makes the R-VIT i-Color to react and turn OFF and ON itself. Therefore, this is not a

malfunction.

3) Connect the “Main Harness” with the “Sensor Harness” to connect optional Sensors through external input.

1) Connect the optional A/F BOX or the Press Sensor (all must be purchased separately) to the 3P coupler at

the “Sensor Harness”.

2) Connect the optional Temp Sensor (must be purchased separately) to the 2P coupler at the “Sensor

Harness”.

※See the supplied installation manuals to install the above sensors.

4) Connect the diagnosis connector (Female) to the vehicle diagnosis connector.

5) Attach the supplied “Display Back Seal” (Place the seal where the harness attaches to the display)

6) Perform the initial setting on the R-VIT i-Color.
