Genuine head cover seal.

Cutting alteration

(35) Installation of the cylinder head cover seal.

Alter by cutting the genuine cylinder head
cover as shown in the figure so it does not
interfere with he (C.2) intake manifold.
※

Make sure to wear safety glasses and

protective clothing while making the
alteration.

Install the altered head cover with the
genuine bolts.

(38) Filling of the coolant

①

Remove the bolt and clamp shown in the figure.

②

Lift up the reserve tank, and place it at the hood-fixing latch.

※

Please check the hoses are set as a slope going up towards the reserve tank.

③

Fill up the coolant up to the FULL level after removing the radiator cap and the air
purge valve.

④

Start the engine and wait until it is full warmed (until the radiator fan starts) by
leaving the radiator cap and the air purge valve OFF.

※

Keep the A/C turned OFF.

※

Check for any leaks from the injectors after starting the engine.

Install back the radiator cap and the air purge valve.

(36) Connect the ground terminal of the battery.
(37) Check if the compressor pulley’s clutch makes a click sound at the time the ignition

is turned ON.
※

If it doesn’t, re-check the wiring connection between the (C.58) clutch’s switch and

the (C.59) relay harness.
