vibration and suitable to receive 1/4 inch (M6)
screws with a length of at least 1 inch (25 mm).

If the unit is equipped with a cover locking clamp,
loosen it with a 5/32 hexagonal (Allen) wrench and
move the clamp “catches” out of the blind holes
located in the bulkhead. See Figure 7.
CAUTION
Never open the detector enclosure while power is
applied.

Remove the terminal housing and sensor housing
from the bulkhead by turning them counterclock-
wise.
CAUTION
The U7698B contains semiconductor devices that
are susceptible to damage by electrostatic dis-
charge. An electrostatic charge can build up on the
skin and discharge when an object is touched.
Therefore, use caution when handling, taking care
not to touch the terminals or electronic compo-
nents. For more information on proper handling,
refer to Service Memo form 75–1005.
