Understanding the Action Buttons
The Action Buttons allow you to customize the Mobile Connection Manager and monitor your
connections.


1. Settings
The Settings tool allows you to customize the Mobile Connection Manager. Once you click on this
button a pop-up window with two tabs will appear:

Option Choices

Description

Start in System Tray Mode

- In Full

Mode
(default)

- In System

Tray Mode

You are able to customize the viewing mode of the
Mobile Connection Manager. Click “System Tray
Mode” to monitor your connections from the system
tray only (See System Tray Mode, page 18). If you
prefer to monitor your connections in Full Mode view,
select the default option, “In Full Mode” (See Full
Mode
, page 12).

Run Mobile Connection
Manager at Start up

- On (default)

- Off

This default setting can be changed during
installation. Refer to Installing the Mobile
Connection Manager
, step 6.

Enable Call Drop Alert

(Connection Lost)

- On (default)

- Off

This option is checked by default. It enables a pop-up
window and audible alert when the connection is
dropped. Applicable to 2G and Dial-up Networking
only.

Tray Mode Alert

- On (default)

- Off

When minimizing the mobile Connection Manager
from Full Mode to managing the Mobile Connection
Manager from the system tray mode, an alert will
appear asking if you wish to minimize the Mobile
Connection Manager or close the application.

Card Eject Warning

- On (default)

- Off

Upon exiting the Mobile Connection Manager
application, a message regarding proper PC Card
eject instructions appears

Note: The Mobile Connection Manager does not
offer the option to establish a network connection
automatically.
