Introduction

This chapter contains information on the function of the archive, backup, and restore. »IPC

Backup & Restore« requires the Microsoft Windows® XP operating system.

Using Compact Flash cards

Compact Flash cards of swissbit® are available in different versions.

»IPC Backup & Restore« only supports the "Fixed Disk (non removable)" version with

ultra direct memory access (UDMA) which
– is used in the industrial PC as bootable memory medium,
– can be partitioned and formatted like a hard disk.

For an error-free backup and restore of data in the »IPC Backup & Restore« only

Compact Flash cards of the company swissbit®, variant "Fixed Disk(non

removable) with ultra direct memory access (UDMA)" are approved!
