Set System States

The Echo widget allows you to set the state for each system to indicate its
current state. Currently, you can set the state to: Open, Test, Maintenance,
Calibration, or Unknown. This state is shown on the System Views and the
Lab Views.

For example, if you need to start up a new test, you can display your Lab
View and quickly determine which systems are available and which systems
are being used for a test or are down for maintenance.

Change System State

On the Test PC, display the MTS Echo Widget and click the horizontal
arrow bar to display a list of systems that are currently loaded. Use the drop-
down list next to the system to set the state.

Inactive Systems

By default, only actively loaded systems will show up in the system list. To
see all systems connected to a Test PC in order to change the state for
inactive systems, clear the Active Stations check box to show both active
and inactive systems.

Inactive systems will show up with a dark grey background. You can then set
the state of inactive systems. For example, setting its state to Open to
indicate it is not currently being used.
