Truck Steering Shaft Assembly Instructions

Note: Before doing any modifications inspect your vehicle to assure the
new part fits your application. This includes length, and spline sizes
(column and steering box).

1) Turn your vehicle’s wheels so that they are in the straight-ahead position.

Make sure your steering wheel does not move to insure correct steering
wheel alignment.

2) Remove the factory steering shaft fasteners that secure the unit to the

steering box and steering column. Remove the factory steering shaft from
your vehicle.

3) Measure the distance between the steering column and the steering box.

NOTE: This measurement should be made from the notch in the
steering box shaft to the notch on the steering column shaft

4) Find the centered length of the UNISTEER shaft. Do this by completely

collapsing the shaft, taking a measurement, and then completely
