Settings

Time & date

Use this menu to change the time and date settings

for your phone.

- Time zone: set the home time zone. Select the

city that corresponds to your home zone.

- Daylight saving: apply daylight saving time to

your time zone.

- Time: enter the current time using the wheel.

- Date: enter the current date using the wheel.

- Time format: select 12-hour or 24-hour time

format using the wheel.

Phone settings

Many different features of your phone’s system can

be customised to suit your preferences.

Language

Use this menu to select a language for the display

text.

Transfer mode

Use this menu to select a transfer mode (or USB

mode) that will be used when you connect your

phone to a PC via USB interface.

- Manual: you can select a transfer mode after

you connect your phone to a PC. After

connecting, tap More in Idle mode and select

Connect to PC

→ a mode.

- PC Studio: you can use the Samsung PC Studio

programme to synchronise data and transfer

media files between the phone and a PC.

- MTP: you can use Media transfer mode to

transfer WMDRM (Windows Media Digital Rights

Management) content with licence keys directly

from the BeoPlayer or Windows Media Player to

the phone. You can also get new licence keys for

the DRM files that have expired licence keys.

- Mass storage: you can connect the phone to a

PC, as you would use an external memory disk

drive. MAC users should select this option to

transfer files to your phone.

Auto redial

Use this menu to set up the phone to redial a

phone number after an unsuccessful call. Ten

attempts can be preset.

Auto keylock

Use this menu to set the phone to lock the keys

automatically after the display turns off.

Use this menu to customise your phone
settings. You can also reset the settings to
their default values.

To access this menu, press OK in Idle
mode and select Settings.
