BRAKE DRUMS
Inspect for heat checks, grooves, hot spots, glazing,
cracks, and out of round. Drums which are glazed,
grooved, or have moderate heat checking may be
resurfaced and returned to service. The drum should
not be used if it exceeds the manufacturer’s recom-
mended maximum diameter stamped on the drum.

BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
Brakes should be adjusted whenever the air chamber
push rod stroke exceeds the maximum distance accord-
ing to the chart shown in FFFFFigur
