1 Remove plastic vacuum hose from rubber
adaptor on the top of valve cover (leave
rubber adaptor in place).

Remove the shifter cables. Pull the spring
loaded ring away from the shifter base to
release the shifter cable.

Remove the shifter base screws.

Insert small flat screwdriver through the
hole in the side shift arm. Pry gently on
the latch and pull the side shifter arm out.

Remove the side shifter adaptor.

Remove the centering spring.

Move the shifter arm forward and remove
the spring clip.

Remove the rubber grommet.

Pull the sifter pin out with needle nose
pliers.

Remove the factor shifter arm.

Remove the shifter lever bushings.

Remove the shifter lever bumper.

Factory component that will be used with
the Boomba Racing short throw shifter.

Install the shifter lever bumper.

Install the shifter lever bushings.

Chamfer tip of the shift pin. Tif of the pin
should be approximately the same size
that opening of the lock pin.

Insert the locking pin into the shifter pivot
block.
