Fiber Optic Sample Cells

The cell type is vitally important to the success of the application. Among factors to be considered are
pressure, temperature, pathlength, chemical resistance, thermal shock, mounting, and flow rate.

Metrohm NIRSystems uses cells manufactured by Axiom Analytical, Inc., a company that specializes in
cells for harsh environments. Axiom has extensive experience with difficult applications, and can
supply cells for most any conditions. Metrohm NIRSystems uses 600-micron fibers, as recommended
by Axiom.

It is not possible to show the range of cells here. Shown are some typical cells, which give the user
some idea of common cell types.

Metrohm NIRSystems ships the Axiom documentation package with each cell. The documentation
package normally includes the QC-Inspection and Test Report, as well as a user manual for that
model of cell. The user manual covers wetted materials, mounting, operation, cleaning, and other
pertinent information.

FPT Transmission Probes are available in various
sizes, styles and pathlengths.

Flange mounting (shown on the upper probe) is a
proven mounting method.
