Sample preparation module (SPM)

3.18.1

General information on the SPM

The SPM consists of a total of three neutralization units, which, in rota-
tion, are used for sample preparation, then regenerated and finally rinsed.

The SPM can be used for the following purposes (as well as others):

For cation exchange before injecting the sample.

For neutralizing a sample.

3.18.2

Connecting the sample preparation module (SPM)

The three inputs and outputs of the suppressor units, numbered with 1, 2
and 3 on the connecting piece, each have 2 fixed mounted PTFE capilla-
ries.
