Getting to know your phone

Handset display icons

– These are the symbols you will see on your handset’s screen

Handset

Displayed when the line is in use.

Ext

Displayed when an external call is

being received or in progress.

Int

Displayed when an internal call is

being received or in progress.

New Calls (Telephone)*

Flashes to indicate new Calls list

entries.

Person/Handset*

When viewing the Calls list,

indicates a call you answered.

Person*

When viewing the Calls list,

indicates an unanswered call.

Phonebook

Displayed when the phonebook is

in use.

Menu

Displayed when the menu is in

use.

Battery status

Shows handset battery status.

Scrolls when the handset is

charging in the base.

Range

Displayed in standby mode to

indicate handset is in range of the

base. Flashes if you go out of

range or if a handset is not

registered.

Keypad lock

Displayed when the keypad is

locked.

Left arrow or Right arrow

Indicates that the displayed

number/text message is longer

than the screen (12 digits or

more).

Alarm bell

Displayed when the alarm is set.

Envelope

Displayed to indicate new text

messages in the Inbox.

Handsfree speaker

Displayed when in handsfree

mode.

*You must subscribe to your network provider’s Caller Display service for this feature to work. A quarterly fee may be payable.
