2.3 Flying ICON IC 112 LA Mid/

High Units

Please use optionally available Aeroquip studs or
stud starter cables to fly mid/high units.

Note: For reason of safety, use tested and certified
load-securing devices only, for example, half-coup-
lers, clamps, safety cables, and so forth.

Ensure all rigging points are rated to handle the
load. An ICON LT 112 weighs 49,9 kg/ 110 lbs.
(without Dolly).

2.4 Using the ICON Tilt Unit

The ICON Tilt unit lets you aim the ground-stacked
ICON IC 112 LA mid/high unit towards the audience
area, accurately and safely. You can tilt the mid/high
unit by 5°, 10°, or 15° to suit the venue, minimize
troublesome ceiling reflections, and direct more
sound pressure towards the audience area.
First attach the ICON tilt unit’s brackets (A) to the
top IC 118 BA subwoofer. To do this, remove the
M10 T-nuts from the housing and mount the tilt
unit using the long fastening bolts (B). Then remove
the two M10 T-nuts from the IC 112 LA mid/high
unit.
Attach the two set screws (C) to the mid/high unit
so both are located within the large opening of the
tilt unit (D). Now simply raise the cab and insert it
in the detent that gives you the desired tilt angle (5°,
10°, or 15°).

3 Connections and

Control Features

3.1 ICON IC 112 LA

The IC 112 LA’s Control Features

• User Settings (On/Off)

Use this switch to determine the system’s operating
mode. Disengage it (User Settings Off) to use
the controller’s factory settings. If you engage it
(User Settings On), the controller will adopt the
settings most recently configured in the PodWare
application.
Note: Set switches to the desired positions before
powering the system up.
When configuring gain, EQ, and delay settings
remotely via the BVNet interface and the

PodWare on your laptop, engage all switches on the
mid/high unit (User Settings On). The software can
read out operating data when the switch is set to
either position.

• Input Sensitivity

You have four hardwired options for adjusting the
gain to match the input signal level, +16 dBu, +4
dBu, 0 dBu, and -10 dBu. The standard setting for
ICON systems is +4 dBu. Before powering up the
system, ensure subwoofers are connected via the
Sub Out port and all other connected components
are on. The same goes for the mixer and all signal
sources connected to it. In other words, be sure
to first switch on any connected keyboards, amps,
effects, and the like.
If you hear any distortion or a saturated signal, first
check the signal sources and, if possible, reduce
the output signal level there. If you are unable to
turn down the level of the signal sent to the ICON
system at its source, adjust the input sensitivity
using the mid/high units’ Gain knobs (see Tips and
Tricks for more on this).

The IC 112 LA’s Cable Connections

• Input

Connect the cords routing the signal from your
mixer (master left/right, line out, or a similar
circuit) to the balanced inputs using a balanced
cord equipped with XLR connectors. Ensure XLR
connectors are wired as follows: 1= ground, 2= +,
3= -.
