Power off time - selects the automatic power off time in minutes. This function allows the instrument to conserve
battery power by automatically powering down if a button has not been pressed for the number of minutes selected.
Selections allow range from 0 to 300 minutes. If 0 minutes is selected then the instrument will not automatically
power down and must be switched off via the On Off pushbutton.

4.20 Output mode for serial communications

Allows user to select the serial interface operation as follows:

- sends image data from the display without conversion to ASCII.

- sends ASCII form of display data at a rate typically 90% of the sample rate.

- controlled by computer or PLC as host. Host sends command via RS232/485 and instrument

responds as requested.

- This is a special communications mode used with Windows compatible optional PC download

software. Refer to the user manual supplied with this optional software.

4.21 Instrument address for optional serial communications

reporting on different areas etc. The host computer or PLC may poll each unit in turn supplying the appropriate
address. The unit address ranges from 0 to 31 (DEC) but is offset by 32 (DEC) to avoid clashing with ASCII special
